Chattanooga Whiskey Experimental Single Malt, Liquor Photography

Behind the Scenes – Chattanooga Whiskey

High-proof liquor and fire! What could go wrong?

First, let me tell you about this whiskey. I’m pretty new to the whole “liking bourbon/whiskey” thing. I was more of a beer drinker. As I started photographing more liquor, I got to try more of it….and I got to try it in several different forms. Turns out, I quite like a whiskey with a single cube of ice.

Enter a trip to Chattanooga Whiskey in…..you guessed it, Chattanooga, TN. While there, I got to try several of their experimental bottles. This was one of them. It’s a single malt….and it’s absolutely delicious. I’m really trying not to give it too much credit, but it’s one of the best (for me) that I’ve ever tasted.

On to the BTS

I’m a guy. I got to play with liquor and a mini-blowtorch at the same time. Does it get better than that? (I’m not recommending this so don’t come back and sue me after you burn a fucking finger off or something).

There are no fancy Photoshop tricks, here. Real fire. Real wood. Real whiskey. Real good. It took around 8-10 exposures to get what I needed, but this was definitely my favorite liquor shoot of all time.
