How much does architectural photography cost?
I typically work on a creative fee plus per-image fee structure. And I’d love to post those numbers here, but too many things change the price too quickly. Architectural projects and hospitality projects need different licenses and have different audiences. Some apartment complexes need a documentary approach while others need an editorial pass. Some projects require multi-day sessions. Others require travel or assistants and talent. And then some clients ask me to work within their budget. I accommodate these requests as much as reasonably possible.
How long does a shoot take?
The project itself determines this. An empty space takes much less time than a conference room where I align each caster the same direction or position talent. Some shoots take three hours, some take twelve.
Am I a certified drone pilot?
Yes. I’m a Part 107 certified drone pilot.
Do I require a deposit?
Yes. A deposit equal to the creative fee is required before reserving a date or beginning any pre-production work. But if we need to reschedule, the deposit is never lost.
What image rights do I give?
All rights are negotiable and more rights require more cost. But generally, you’ll get a perpetual, non-transferrable, non-exclusive license to use the images in all your own marketing, design-award submissions, and editorial publication at no additional charge. A photo credit isn’t required, but I appreciate one. I retain all other rights unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Do I travel outside Nashville?
Yes: Huntsville, Birmingham, Chattanooga, Knoxville, Memphis, and nationwide. Nashville is where I do the most work, but I travel for projects all over the country.
How quickly do I deliver photos?
10 business days, sometimes faster, and rush is sometimes available. You’ll get full-resolution JPGs, with other formats on request.
What don’t I photograph?
I don’t shoot weddings, portrait sessions, events, or standard real-estate listing photography. I do shoot high-end residential architecture, and I’ll do corporate headshots on request.
